The Hispanic Telephone Directory has released it 12th edition to the Hispanic Community of Oregon & SW Washington. This year the Directory's cover pays tribute to the 2010 World cup soccer tournament being held in South Africa. Our informative white pages include the Latin American consulate information, Trimet information, Hispanic establishments, travel information, Oregon events, information on immigration, education, community resources and this year we've added the history of soccer, and soccer tournament schedules. Soccer is the #1 sport played & viewed by Latin American countries. In Oregon alone there are a quater of a million latinos of which a large majority is culturally linked to the sport.
According to the 2000 Census, the Hispanic buying power has increased from $890 million in 1990 to more than $2.6 Billion in 2001. Oregon is ranked eighth in the nation's rate of growth of Hispanic buying power. In addition, it has now been established that the Hispanic community is the biggest minority community in the US, implicating a big slice of the economic force that drives this country.
